Le mille e una Palermo is a project of Sguardi Urbani funded by the Municipality of Palermo in the framework of Palermo Italian capital of culture and with the free patronage of the Fondazione Unesco Sicilia.
It proposes a web application to discover and learn about the Arab-Norman heritage in an alternative way through the five senses. Choose whether to listen, taste, touch, smell, see, ride a bike or come with your children to discover the Arab-Norman soul of the city. Le mille e una Palermo plays on the possibility to discover the Arab-Norman patrimony through different kind of experience (sight, hearing, touch, taste, by bike or with children). The home screen bearing the question “How do you want to discover the Arab-Norman Palermo?” will allow you to select from a menu the options “listen, taste, touch, through the gardens, with children, by bike”. To each option corresponds maps with points of interest and multimedia contents that will amplify in an unconventional way the experience of the Arab Norman patrimony of the city. Browse the app contents or book one of the visit experiences.
